Heart of Hearts was created out of a mutual appreciation from both founders for the simple pleasures in life; eating good food and drinking good alcohol.

The term 'Heart of Hearts' is a play on distillation terminology, where the 'Hearts' are the centre and most pure part of a distillation run. Hence the 'Heart of Hearts' is akin to the 'best of the best'.
